This study aimed to evaluate digestible organic matter and metabolisable energy of the total mixed ration (TMR) containing oil palm frond silage (OPFS) as a source of roughage using in vitro gas production technique. The TMR was formulated according to the ratio between OPFS (roughage) and concentrate as follows: T1 (80:20), T2 (70:30), T3 (60:40) and T4 (50:50). This study was arranged according to a completely randomized design. The rumen mixed microbes inoculums were taken from six Anglo-Nubian 50% crossbred male goats, 4-5 years old with average body weight of 43.07±3.09 kg. Objective of this study was to determine the effect of crude turmeric extract (Curcuma longa Linn.) supplementation in broiler diets on sensory evaluation of meat. One hundred and twenty 3-week- old male Habbard broilers were randomly allotted into 5 groups according to the level of crude turmeric extract supplementation. Each group consisted of six replications with 4 broilers per replication. Broilers were fed ad libitum with basal diet containing 0, 0.2, 0.4, 0.6 and 0.8% of crude turmeric extract until 6 weeks old. Subsequently, birds were slaughtered and the breast meats were dissected for sensory evaluation by 12 panels. This experiment aimed to study effect of levels of molasses in oil palm frond silage on dry matter intake, digestibility coefficient, nitrogen balance and rumen fermentation characteristics in goats. Four Thai Native x Anglo-Nubian 50% crossbred male goat, 2.7-2.8 years old with average body weight (BW) of 35.1+1.6 kg, were arranged in 4x4 Latin Square design. The goats were fed with oil palm frond silage mixed with molasses 0, 2, 4 and 6 % ad libitum and supplemented with concentrate at 0.5 % of BW on dry matter basis. Objective of this study was to determine effects of oil palm frond silage (OPFS) mixed with 0, 2, 4 and 6% molasses on nutrient utilization and rumen fermentation process in Thai native male cattle. Four Thai native male cattle, 2.7-2.8 years old with average body weight (BW) of 280+5 kg, were arranged in 4x4 Latin Square design. The cattle were fed with OPFS mixed with molasses ad libitum and supplemented with concentrate at 0.5% of BW as dry matter (DM) basis. The results showed that DM intake and organic matter (OM) intake of all groups were not significantly different (P>0.05) while crude protein (CP) intake of cattle received OPFS mixed with 2, 4 and 6% molasses were significantly higher (P<0.05) than that of 0% molasses. This study aimed to determine the effects of total mixed ration (TMR) containing oil palm frond silage (OPFS) as a source of roughage mixed with fibrolytic enzyme on feed intake, growth performance and carcass characteristics of goats. Sixteen male Bore x Thai native goats, 10-12 months old with average live weight 13.37±1.40 kg, were used in this study. Goats were allotted according to completely randomized design to receive TMR diet containing OPFS (roughage) to concentrate ratio at 60:40 (on a DM basis) and mixed with fibrolytic enzyme at 0 (control) (T1), 2 (T2), 4 (T3) and 6 (T4) g/kg DM of TMR.
